Some of them stayed around till now and others were invented by creative ladies out there. If you came to this page, you’re probably trying to learn more about natural hair removal. Here are a few popular natural facial masks that will help you to deal with that. Everyone who is tired of epilating this part of body is more than welcome to use these natural remedies.

Some of the Natural Ways to Get Rid of Facial Hair

Gelatin Mask

Gelatin is mostly composed of amino acids that make up proteins. One of them is collagen that keeps our skin tight, shiny and simply soft. That’s partly the reason why we want to use it on our skin. It’s also used in many areas due to its unique properties. However, in this particular case it can be used as a hair removing mask!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of gelatin
  • 3-4 drops of lime juice or 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons of milk

Recipe:

Take a bowl and mix of all of the ingredients. After that, put the bowl into a microwave and leave it there for about 15 to 20 seconds. It’s important, because otherwise the mask may get too hot and you’ll burn your skin while applying. Now take the bowl out of the microwave and start applying the gel to your skin. Make sure you spread it equally. Moreover, avoid the areas around your eyes, eyebrows and eyelashes. Let it sit for about 5 minutes since it dries out quite quickly. Finally, peel it off completely. You’re finished!

Homemade Wax with Sugar

Sugar sugar sugar! So many people say it’s unhealthy and yet so many of us love it. However, don’t worry in this case. It looks like sugar cannot do any harm to your skin. In contrary, it’s a great product that can be used for hair removal. In addition to that, you could use it as a facial scrub to remove dead cells.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of water
  • ¼ cup of lemon juice
  • 2 cups of table sugar
  • Baby powder

Recipe:

Pour water into a saucepan and wait for water to get quite hot. Now add sugar with lemon juice and stir. Wait for the mixture to start bubbling. Afterwards, turn the fire down and let it simmer. You’ll know when it’s ready as the color will change to amber. After that, let it cool down and apply some baby powder to your skin. It will protect it from the sticky mask that you are about to apply. See, baby powder is not only for babies!

Apply the mixture you’ve just made going in the opposite direction of your hair growth. Let it sit for a few minutes. Good time to take pictures! Ha ha! When you feel like the mask has hardened, you can start ripping it off in the direction of your hair growth. Finally, don’t leave any paste on your face. Once your face is clean, wash it and moisturize accordingly. Enjoy!

Basil and Onion Mask

natural ways to get rid of facial hair

When I first found out that onion and basil mask gives us one of the ways to get rid of facial hair, I was completely taken aback. However, when I started thinking about, it made more and more sense. Onion has acidic properties that can very well bleach and remove unwanted hair. Although, I would never recommend it for someone with as dry skin as mine. Therefore, if you are one of them, move on to another natural product to remove facial hair.

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions
  • 10-12 fresh basil leaves

Recipe:

Cut both of the onions in two halves each. Afterwards, remove thin membranes and crush them with fresh basil leaves. You’ll get a paste that you can then apply to your skin and let it sit there for about 20 minutes. However, I don’t recommend using it if you have very dry skin as it may become a painful experience. All in all, if it burns it means you have to wash it off. If you use this mask regularly, you’ll notice that a fair amount of facial hair will go away over time.

Spearmint tea

That’s not really a mask. However, spearmint tea is known for its ability to reduce testosterone levels that contribute to hair growth. Most of the time excessive hair on our faces is cause by increased levels of testosterone. Therefore, drinking a few cups of this tea a day could reduce facial hair significantly. Make sure to use fresh leaves to brew the tea.

Egg White Mask

Egg white mask is very popular amongst ladies. However, who would have thought that it’s great for removing facial hair as well? Here is a nice  article about all of the beauty benefits that egg white offers.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg white
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • 1 spoon of corn flour
  • Recipe:

Mix all of the ingredients very well. Afterwards, apply the mixture on your skin and let it sit until it dries out. Now, rub it off using a damp cloth or just wet fingers. Wash your face thoroughly and moisturize.

Potatoes and Yellow Lentil Mask

I’m a big fan of potatoes. I eat them at least 3 times a week. They’re my life. I’m not joking. Therefore, I couldn’t resist but to include this mask as one of the facial hair removal options. Try, enjoy and share your experiences!

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 spoon crushed yellow lentil juice
  • 1 spoon of lemon juice

Recipe:

Squeeze out potato juice and mix with lentil and lemon juice. You can make lentil juice by soaking those lentils for some time. Afterwards, you should crush them and strain them. In addition to that, if you are a honey fan, you are more than welcome to add some of it. Now apply to your skin, let it dry out and rub off. Here is your new face!

Wheatbran Scrubs

Many of us choose to eat wheatbran with milk and some bananas in the morning. Delicious, I know! However, you should start thinking about using it to scrub your face and get rid of facial hair. This scrub is great, because it doesn’t cause any pain. It’s enjoyable and works well for removing dead cells as well as that unwanted hair.

Ingredients:

  • 1-3 tablespoon of wheatbran
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water

Recipe:

Mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl and apply the mixture to your skin. Now leave it for a minute so it dries out just a tiny bit. Afterwards, start rubbing it into your skin with small circular movements. Once again, leave it on your face for a while until it dries out and wash it off with warm water. In order to get the best results, you should repeat this procedure 3-4 times a week. As a result, you’ll notice that you have less facial hair.

Honey and lemon mask

It’s not surprising that honey contributes to hair removal quite well. When you think about it, it even looks a bit like wax. They do indeed share similar properties which make honey one of the most popular natural products for hair removal. In addition to that, it’s sweet and tasty! What can be better?

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 teaspoons of water
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon

Recipe:

Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and put it into a microwave. Heat it for 25-30 seconds otherwise the mask will get too hot and will burn your skin. Check whether sugar has dissolved. If the answer is yes, then take a spoon or anything that would help with applying this mixture to your skin. Spread it thoroughly and equally all over the skin. Afterwards, put a strip of cloth on your mask. Let it sit there for a couple of minutes and pull. Once all of your face is done, wash it  and apply oil.
