Why I’m Recommending Cheap Products Only

Let’s be honest, trimming bikini line isn’t such a hard job. It doesn’t need to look great either. Usually, if you’re trimming, it’s because you don’t want the hairs to get into your way. It makes it less messy too. Obviously, if you’re a man who’s looking to trim his beard, you probably want to get a high-quality trimmer. You want your beard to be well shaped. However, that’s not the case with the bikini area. I think paying $60-80 for a bikini line trimmer is just a joke. That’s why my list contains only pretty cheap products that are super affordable and do their job perfectly.

Best Bikini Trimmer for You

Here are top 5 bikini trimmers, at least in my opinion, do read the reviews below to get an idea of which one could suit you best.

Panasonic ES2207P

This gadget is actually a shaver that has a pop-up trimmer. It’s perfect for maintaining bikini area and keeping it clean. You can also use it in the bath or shower since it’s waterproof. However, it works on dry skin best. What I like about the shaver is that it’s relatively big and has a nice grip. When you’re shaving or trimming your hair, you feel safe. It has hypo-allergenic blades too! Therefore, works even on sensitive skin.

In case you want to use it in the shower, it’s probably a good idea to get some lather. Especially, if you want to shave rather than trim. It’s also quite easy to wash since you can run water over the blades and it will do the job. However, you’re still going to get a brush in case some hairs get stuck and it’s impossible to get rid of them. The product comes with a charger so you won’t need to worry about batteries since it has a built-in one. You’ll get a pouch where you can safely store all of the items too.

  • Comes with a pouch
  • Has a charger with it
  • Comes with a brush to clean up the gadget
  • Waterproof, can wash under running water
  • Shaves too

  • Slightly more expensive but very affordable
  • Much bigger, you won’t be able to keep it in your makeup bag

Why do I Recommend It?

I actually like the fact that this trimmer is bigger. You can use it as a shaver too. It’s great that it comes with a charger, because I really don’t like worrying about batteries. Plus, I think it’s much more environment friendly. I’m sure some of you can relate to that. 🙂

Philips FS9185/49

Even though this product has been designed for beard grooming it can do wonders with your bikini line. No matter whether you’re a woman or a man. It has super sharp blades that reduce the skin irritation. Why so? Well, it cuts the hair and doesn’t grip on the skin. That’s all you need from any blade. It comes with 3 different combs that will help you to maintain your bikini line. Keep it as short or as long as you want! Doesn’t sound bad, does it?

It’s also all rubbery so super easy to grip on it. You can fully wash it under running water too. That always comes useful. Waterproof too. It’s probably best to use it without oils or foam. It seems like the gadget can achieve best results mostly in that way. It’s slim, small, light and probably just perfect for travelling purposes too. Overall, great for those with extra sensitive skin. I know how it can be sometimes. 🙂

  • Small and light
  • Comes with batteries so you can start right away
  • Good for travelling, can fit even in small bags
  • Great for those with extra sensitive skin
  • Two-year warranty

  • Uses batteries. You’ll need to change them
  • Doesn’t last long with one set of batteries
  • Won’t give you a perfect trim if that matters for bikini line?

Why do I Recommend It?

It’s a very good product for bikini line even though it’s designed for beard. Plays well with sensitive skin and that’s all I’m hoping for from a product like that.

Panasonic ES2216PC

This product is a shaver that comes with an attachment for bikini line. Works wonderfully though. It’s mostly created with women in mind and their curves. However, men shouldn’t be afraid to use it at all. If it’s pink, doesn’t mean that it’s just for women! You can use it for any part of your body, not just bikini line. It’s actually a good electric razor that I usually recommend when it comes to shaving. It has hypo-allergenic blades and four independent floating heads that improve overall shaving experience.

This gadget has a nice grip and is super comfortable to use in the shower. It’s easy to wash too. Also, I like the fact that it has its own battery. Therefore, you can always just recharge it. I recommend doing it at night since it takes around 12 hours to get to full charge. It will last for up to an hour. Obviously, that time will slightly differ after some time passes. Batteries are not very good at keeping high amount of charge for a long time. That’s why devices like that often have a couple years warranty.

  • Waterproof
  • Easy to wash
  • Works well on sensitive skin
  • Not only a trimmer, a great shaver too
  • Up to 1 hour of shaving after charging
  • Has its own built in battery

  • Slightly more expensive but still affordable
  • Pink color is obviously not for everyone
  • Battery lasts for around 2 years before it cannot hold any sufficient charge
  • Takes 12 hours to charge

Why do I Recommend It?

I simply love this shaver for its shaving abilities. The trimming attachment it comes with beautifully adds up to the product and keeps my bikini line trimmed. Hard to say no to something like that.

Philips BG1026/60

Here is a simple trimmer that does its job and is easy to store in a bathroom or shower. It has a cord, therefore, you can just leave it hanging there without too much trouble. It has integrated skin protecting guards that keep your skin away from the blades and avoids unnecessary irritations. The product is actually created for men and mostly for grooming purposes. However, I think it’s a good choice just for those who need to take care of their pubic hairs. It’s very small and simple.

All it does is trimming. It requires two AA batteries to do the job. I know it can be annoying to change them all the time. However, the results speak for themselves. It is truly handy for day-to-day matters. It cuts in both directions too!

  • Has a cord for hanging the trimmer around
  • Waterproof
  • Small, therefore very easy to store
  • Works best on dry hair

  • Can be annoying to change those batteries all the time
  • Not super powerful but should be enough for pubic area

Why do I Recommend It?

An overall valuable, practical and handy product! I like how easy it is to just keep it in the shower.

Panasonic ES246AC

Here is a cheap and small trimmer. It comes with stainless steel blades that are hypo-allergenic. Therefore, totally safe to your skin. The trimmer itself is a round 1.5-inch-wide and super-light. You can easily carry it around with your makeup without even noticing that it’s there. Until, of course, you need it. This little baby has 5 trimming settings for different hair lengths so you pretty much can achieve any hair length you want without too much trouble. Make it as short or as long as you want! That’s quite nice, isn’t it?

Panasonic ES246AC is waterproof, therefore you’re safe to use it in the shower. Such a simple feature can make everything so much easier! For it to run you’ll need two AA-size batteries. However, you’ll have to buy them yourself, because they don’t come with the product. I personally think it’s inconvenient. However, if you consider the cheap price, it’s understandable. Two batteries like that will help this gadget run for up to 45 minutes, which I don’t think is too much. I would suggest to buy rechargeable batteries so that you don’t have to throw them away each time they’re out of charge.

  • Cheap
  • Lightweight
  • Small
  • 5 trimming settings
  • Hypo-allergenic blades
  • Waterproof

  • Comes without batteries
  • Batteries don’t last long
  • You’ll have to buy a separate pouch to keep it somewhere

Why do I Recommend It?

Overall, I find Panasonic ES246AC impressive for its price and what it does. Trimming your bikini area isn’t complicated and this product does just that. I love to have it in my makeup bag too. Gives a sense of safety. Can’t quite explain why, though.

How to Trim Bikini Area

how to trim bikini area

Well, you’re lucky that bikini trimming isn’t that hard at all. Anyone can do it and you don’t really need to have a good hand for it. Choosing the best bikini trimmer is the more important step when it comes to mastering the art of taking care of that body part. There are only a few things I would like to note that might be helpful for beginners.

Find the Right Place

Trimming down there can be super messy. Especially when your hair is super thick. It can be even more annoying to need to vacuum the whole flat to catch all those hairs. They’re full of bacteria and god knows what too. What I usually like to do when trimming down there is sitting on the toilet. It’s not as messy as trimming hairs anywhere else. Afterwards, you can simply flush and that’s you. Done.

Make Sure Your Hair is Dry

If you want to get a good trim, it’s probably better to do it on dry skin. Trimming wet hair tends to be not as effective and you’re more likely to miss out on hairs. I do get what’s the comfort behind it though! However, if you’re looking to shape your bikini line and make it beautiful, you should forget about trimming wet hairs. That’s just not going to work out. Additionally, you won’t be happy with the end results.

Exfoliate if You’re Also Shaving

I know that many of us who trim down there, shave some of the hairs too. If you do that, it’s important to exfoliate beforehand. There are many ways to do that. You can either use scrubs whenever you’re in the shower or just try a loofah. Loofahs are great at creating foam that you can spread all over your body. However, they do pretty well when it comes to exfoliating skin too. Also, it’s super easy use one. You don’t even feel like you’re exfoliating. Just seems so natural. You could try dry brushing as well. It’s very relaxing and calming procedure, a bit like meditation. The results it gives are good too.
